I.C. Montemurro is located in Gravina in Puglia, a town of around 45.000 inhabitants in the region Apulia-Southern Italy. I.C. Montemurro is structured on three educational levels: Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary Middle School. It is attended by around 1000 students-pupils, aged betwee 3 and 13 years, whose families belong to different social and economic levels, mostly from middle social class. Parents, in general, support their children in school education. The School has got around 100 teachers spread among the three different levels. In each level teachers with specific roles support the headmaster in developing the School Plan which has a cycle of 3 school years. In it, it is expressed the intention to be part of a new Erasmus+ project linked to an eTwinning project and innovative tools to develop the 8 Key European Competences and the soft skills. This Erasmus+ project is completely in accordance to our needs, priorities, goals and objectives. I.C. Montemurro has got high motivation in joining this project firstly, because the school experience in the European field is a good chance to share the best practices acquired with our new European Partners promoting sustainability of our last Erasmus+ Projects even after their end. Secondly, our school aims at creating an International Dimension where students from different countries meet shifting from virtual (eTwinning) to reality. Moreover, being the European Citizenship one of the most important goal of our community we would like to achieve and to let our students be aware of this unique and very hard competence. We would like through Erasmus+ “HOME” to help our students to be more responsible in the use of ICT tools and to promote culture, tolerance and respect of diversity for a better and strong future of Europe.
