Escola Básica 2,3 Piscinas-Lisboa (where we want to develop this project), belonging to Agrupamento de Escolas Piscinas-Olivais is situated in a residential area of Lisbon, capital of Portugal. Escola Básica 2,3 Piscinas-Lisboa has about 600 students. In our school we teach the Portuguese national curriculum to students from 10 to 15 years old. Our school is also a TEIP school. TEIP [Território Educativo de Intervenção Prioritária] means Educational Territory of Priority Intervention, aimed to a group of pupils of a disadvantaged area. Its main objective is to combat early school dropping and unsuccess of a significant group of students who risk social exclusion, most of them belonging to ethnic minorities. Our school is also a reference school for disabled children with multi-deficiency. Our school has developed activities and got a lot of experience participating in national and international projects with a multidisciplinar approach, focusing in the transformation of the learning environment through the adoption of innovative strategies.
